Libertyville Lions Overview

The Libertyville Lions Club is made up of men, women and families that want to work with others to help improve the community. 

Some examples of what the Libertyville Lions has done locally:

  • Contribute thousands of dollars to provide eye exams, glasses and hearing aids to needy residents.
  • Contributed thousands of dollars to Condell Medical Center for equipment and furnishings.
  • Contributed thousands of dollars to students at Libertyville High School for college scholarships.
  • Provided funds for a shelter at the Libertyville Soccer Complex.
  • Sponsored Overholser Park and provided funds to purchase playground equipment.
  • Provided funding for the Quest Program in many Libertyville grammar schools.
  • Founding member of Libertyville Days
  • Contribute Xmas gifts to Winchester House.
  • Contribute to the Libertyville Township Food Pantry.
  • Contribute gifts to Women’s Residential Services every year.
 

Newsflash

Three tent cities, housing 3,000 people total, have been established in the Port-au-Prince neighborhoods of Delmas, Blanchard and Carrefour-Feuille and an additional 240 tents are being sent to the region. Lions are now working to fully equip these tent cities with sanitation, kitchens and health clinics.
